Tires and Wheels

The Corsair offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Polestar 3; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

Suspension and Handling

The Corsair’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Polestar 3 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For better maneuverability, the Corsair’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the Polestar 3’s (37.1 feet vs. 38.8 feet).

Chassis

The Lincoln Corsair may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1400 to 2000 pounds less than the Polestar 3.

The Corsair is 11.5 inches shorter than the Polestar 3, making the Corsair easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the Corsair uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Polestar 3 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Corsair uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Polestar 3 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

Cargo Capacity

The Corsair has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Polestar 3 with its rear seat up (27.6 vs. 17.1 cubic feet). The Corsair has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Polestar 3 with its rear seat folded (57.6 vs. 50 cubic feet).

Towing

The Corsair’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Polestar 3’s (2000 vs. 0 pounds).

Ergonomics

In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Corsair’s exterior PIN entry system. The Polestar 3 doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system, and its Polestar Connect can’t unlock the doors if the vehicle doesn’t have cell phone reception or the driver can’t contact the service.

The Corsair’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Polestar 3’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.
